Darke Hall, Regina: Leading a Historic Theatre's Roof Renovation
One of Regina's oldest buildings needed a roofing system nobody on the North American team had installed before, so Andy led it himself.
Darke Hall in Regina, Saskatchewan is one of the city's oldest buildings and a genuinely well-known local landmark, a historic theatre hall now part of the University of Regina. When the building's roof needed renovating, the company had nobody on staff in North America who had installed the specific roofing system it required.
Andy had installed that same system before, back in the UK, so he was asked to lead the project. He took on the role of lead project manager and on-site foreman, running the renovation from planning through to completion himself.
Outcome
The renovation was delivered comfortably within schedule, a specialist installation the local team couldn't otherwise have carried out, on one of Regina's most historically significant buildings.
