Rubber (EPDM) Roofing Installation
A single-sheet synthetic rubber membrane, often manufacturer-warrantied for 50 years, with exceptional flexibility even in cold weather.
EPDM is a synthetic rubber membrane known for exceptional flexibility, particularly in cold weather, and strong resistance to UV and ozone degradation. Because it's supplied in large sheets, most domestic roofs can be covered with very few seams, sometimes a single sheet, which significantly reduces the main weak point of most membrane systems.
Sherford Roofing installs EPDM rubber roofing across Plymouth and Devon, commonly quoted by manufacturers with a 50-year lifespan and genuinely low ongoing maintenance when correctly installed and seamed.
Our Process
Measure & Cut
The roof is measured precisely so a single sheet (or the minimum number of sheets) can be used to cover the area.
Fit the Membrane
EPDM is laid, relaxed, and bonded to the deck using the specified fixing method, fully adhered, mechanically fixed, or loose-laid with ballast.
Seam & Detail
Any seams are bonded with manufacturer-specified adhesive or tape, and upstands/outlets detailed to the same standard.
Finish & Trim
Edge trims complete a secure, weathertight perimeter.
