Polycarbonate Roofing Installation
A cost-effective, durable roofing option for lean-tos, carports and canopies, specified to the right thickness for the job.
Multiwall polycarbonate is a lower-cost alternative to glass, commonly used on conservatory and lean-to roofs, carports, canopies and garden rooms. 16mm triple-wall is the standard recommendation for most domestic roofing, the best balance of rigidity, insulation and price, and it copes well with heavier snow loads. Thicker 25-35mm multi-wall sheets are stronger and more thermally efficient, at the cost of some light transmission.
Sherford Roofing installs multiwall polycarbonate roofing across Plymouth and Devon, specified to the right thickness for the application, quality UV-protected sheets typically last 25-30 years, where cheaper unprotected sheets discolour and become brittle far sooner.
Our Process
Specify Sheet Thickness
We confirm 16mm, 25mm or 35mm multiwall based on span, snow load and the thermal performance you need.
Fit Glazing Bars
Glazing bars are installed to the correct spacing for the sheet size being used.
Fit Sheets
Polycarbonate sheets are fitted with fixings spaced to allow for thermal expansion, a common source of failure when done wrong.
