GRP (fibreglass) roofing is laid as resin and glass fibre matting that cures into a completely seamless, one-piece laminate, finished with a UV-stable topcoat. Because it's formed in place rather than joined from sheets, it's particularly well suited to complex roof shapes, dormers, bay roofs, roofs with multiple upstands and penetrations, where a membrane system would need multiple seams.

Our Process
Prepare the Deck
A stable, correctly fixed deck is essential, deck movement is the leading cause of GRP cracking, so this stage matters as much as the laminate itself.
Fit Trims
Edge trims are fitted to define the roof perimeter and detail junctions.
Lay Laminate
Glass fibre matting is laid and saturated with resin, forming a continuous, seamless waterproof laminate across the whole roof.
Apply Topcoat
A UV-stable topcoat is applied as the final, weather-facing finish.
GRP systems installed by Sherford Roofing carry BBA (British Board of Agrément) certification, the independent UK assessment confirming the system performs as claimed by the manufacturer.
